Welcome to The Lesson Collective, a creative endeavor created by me, BD (short for Brett Davis).  I am an adventurer, educator, writer and photographer who seeks to maximize my days on this amazing planet, as well as this wonderful opportunity we call life.  Through my 40+ rotations around the sun I have seen a lot; done a lot; and learned a lot.  I could go into more detail about who I am, but if you choose to follow along and read these pages, I am sure you will learn more than enough about me.  The LC is born out of life experiences.  It is a collection of stories, quotes, poems, photos and other creative insights that are authored by not only myself, but friends, family, and possibly you.  It is meant to entertain, inspire, and add value to those who seek to live a life well lived.
